China Nerin Wins the Design Project of Kisanfu Copper-Cobalt Mine in DRC

Before the Spring Festival, the Company won two bids, that is, the package of mining and the package of process plant and hydro-metallurgy, in bidding for the engineering design of DRC Kisanfu Copper-Cobalt Mine Project of China Molybdenum Co. It means China Nerin will undertake the overall design tasks of the mine for the full process of mining, processing, and hydro-metallurgy. The competitors include the best known engineering companies in the industry. By winning the project, China Nerin consolidates its technological leadership in hydro-metallurgical copper-cobalt mine projects in China and Africa.

Kisanfu Copper-Cobalt Mine is one more major international mining merger & acquisition project of China Molybdenum Co. at the end of 2020. Kisanfu Copper-Cobalt Mine, located in Lualaba, DRC, is one of the largest undeveloped copper and cobalt mines with high grade in the world. The ore resource is about 365 million tons. The average copper grade is about 1.72%, and the copper metal content is about 6.28 million tons. The average cobalt grade is about 0.85%, and the cobalt metal content is about 3.1 million tons. Mineralization also exists deeper than the current exploration depth. The prospect to increase the resources is highly possible. Kisanfu Copper-Cobalt Mine will be another world class large copper-cobalt mine when it is completed.
