The EXTRACTION 2018, the first session, was held in Ottawa, Canada during Aug 25-28, 2018. The event was organized by MetSoc of CIM, SME and TMS. NERIN’s Senior Consultant YAO Suping, Deputy Manager of Metallurgy Business Unit TANG Bin, and Senior Business Manager of Marketing Department YANG Shuxia attended the conference and exhibition on behalf of NERIN and achieved an expected result.

         The Conference presented 59 booths, symposiums with 348 reports, and a total of 750 units/individuals of different walks registered from over 40 countries including the USA, Canada, China, Chile, Australia, France and Denmark, etc., from mining companies, pyro/hydro metallurgical plants, engineering and consulting companies, technical service and equipment providers, universities, scientific research institutions and so on.

         At the symposium “Extractive Metallurgy Markets and Economics”, TANG Bin made a speech titled “The Technology and Economy of Chinese Copper Smelters” prepared by YAO Suping and TANG Bin. The report made a voice of China with full and rigorous data, answered the questions and curiosity about Chinese copper smelters, struck the sympathetic chord, and cognizing the attendees the innegligible influence of China and Chinese factors.

         NERIN’s booth has attracted the attention and interest of experts, scholars and enterprise representatives from all over the world, where NERIN’s delegates held preliminary discussions on the potential cooperation opportunities.

         During the 4-day conference, NERIN’s delegates presented some symposiums of pyrometallurgical and metal recycling technologies, buffets and banquet, watched the video of the Sudbury Nickel Smelter of Glencore, and visited the CCR Copper Refinery.
